Lost Canyons Golf Club is a Public, 36 hole golf Facility located in Simi Valley, California.
Lost Canyons is Ventura County's only 36-hole public golf facility. The facility has two 18-hole championship courses. They are The Sky Course and The Shadow Course. Both courses were designed by Pete Dye with consulting help from Masters Champion Fred Couples.
The Sky Course first opened for play in 2000. The Shadow Course opened for play in 2002.
Although both courses were designed by Pete Dye, they have distinctly different styles. The Sky Course flows atop the canyon ridge line and looks down on the Shadow Course which winds along the canyon floor.
The Sky Course is a par 72 and measures 7,285 yards from the black tees. The Shadow Course tops out at 7,005 yards and also plays to a par of 72.
The Shadow Course at Lost Canyons offers an ever-changing combination of light and shadows that only add to the beauty and enjoyment of this course. The course sits on land that Pete Dye called, “the best suited and the most naturally beautiful land that I have ever had the opportunity to design uponâ€.
Black tees: 7,005, course rating 75.0, slope rating 149.

Fairways brown - looked as if they had not been watered in several months if not years. 9th hole in middle of course with no food or beverage station anywhere on course. No beverage cart. No way to get any type of refreshment on course. Greens in very bad shape. Would not play here again unless someone purchased course and corrected the problems.

Greens were wretched. Burned out spots, poor maintenance. Lay out is fun however. The other course "Sky" is much better B rating.

Checked weather on line in the morning, was supposed to be 65 -68 (pleasant) after arriving with 30 - 40 mph winds, the course played more difficult than it already is. My buddy checked us in and forgot to mention that there would be no cart girl or ammnities on the course. My girlfriend was not happy and was very cold.

Target golf - T-shot must be in fairway - no out of bounds/played as lateral - sand traps more dirt than sand

The course is target golf, there are 4 holes you cant see the green on your approach shot. You must play it more than once to really enjoy the challenge.

Great course!

Nothing good to say about this course. You would have to play this course a dozen times to even get an idea where the fairways are pointed. Its like play golf in some mountain area where someone just seeded with grass and stuck some greens randomly down.
